Akasia Swim School is part of and situated on the premises of Akasia Kinderlandgoed (Nursery School).

We believe swimming is an essential part of a full life. Using our unique and dynamic teaching methods, our experienced staff will take you the whole way from beginner to master-swimmer, helping you to achieve your personal goals in the pool. Kids – Pre-School and Primary School

Learn to swim in a safe and encouraging environment with our qualified aquatic instructors. Whether you are new to swimming or want to improve your swimming techniques, there are programs for all ages and abilities. We are a stress-free, highly professional, developmental swim school, and pioneer of a program proven to bring enjoyment and water safety to your children, and peace of mind to you. We take your children from any apprehensive, fearful, regressive or inexperienced stage and transform them into confident, enthusiastic water lovers with excellent skills and a clear understanding of water safety.

Adults – Adult Swimming Lessons

You are never too old to start swimming. Akasia Swim School offers swimming lessons for adults. If you simply just want to improve your swimming ability, our instructors are on hand to help you develop a better technique, increase your confidence, teach you extra skills and build up your stamina. This is a fun and intimate way of learning to swim whilst meeting fellow students or as an activity for you and your friends. Our instructors are sympathetic to your needs as well as having the training and know-how to help you increase your water confidence, allowing you to take your first strokes.

Water Aerobics

Come on in, the water’s fine! Adults looking to challenge themselves without stress on their joints or members who just enjoy the water can take advantage of our different water aerobics classes. Gain muscle conditioning and cardiovascular endurance from the aerobic choreography and the resistance of the water. Ideal for all fitness levels & non-swimmers. Increase flexibility, range of motion, lean body mass and metabolic rate with water exercise. Learn how to energize and maximize your health while you exercise, minimize problem areas and have fun doing it.

Individual Swimming Lessons – parent, kid, instructor

We supply the support for you and your child of undivided one-on-one attention with the instructor and top notch instructions along with positive reinforcement. We are committed to making the experience of learning to swim a joy, not a chore, and one where parents can enjoy the water excitement together with their children in a secure and private environment.

Directions

From the Mabopane Highway (R80), if you come from the city (South) turn left in R513 / Brits Road. Turn right into Heinrich Avenue. Continue past the Wonderpark Shopping Centre until 1st Avenue. Turn right into 1st Avenue. Continue for about 1.6 km to Lily Street. Turn left into Lily Street. Turn right into John Street, first entrance right (the entrance is in John Street).
